About me
![]()
Hi, I'm Graeme.
I'm a freelance web developer, based in Brighton, UK, where I do project-based and contract-based web and software development, building web applications for all purposes. I'm a trained scrum master, and have over 20 years experience with developing software commercially for web, engineering, social networking, recommendation generation, automation, and many other areas.
Recently, I've mostly been working with Python and Django, JavaScript and jQuery, PHP and Drupal, and developing cross-platform widgets for desktops, iGoogle, the web and Facebook. And all those includes a lot of HTML, CSS, various databases and APIs. I have a background in many languages, including Java, C and C++ back to a number of assembly languages. I'm also a trained group facilitator and management consultant and am a certified Scrum Master.
I'm very interested in designing and building transformational user experiences via the web. At its best, a web application ought to be transformational; it should change people who use it, except not in an annoying way :-)
I'm currently looking for interesting roles that combine architecture, development, and team leadership, particularly scrum mastering along with building that transformational user experience.
I usually wear a black trilby. I put it on for fancy dress once and had some many favorable comments it has become standard dress.
